Bloomed Heart Brooch
When we think about love, the heart is the first symbolic image that comes to our minds. It is the essence of our spiritual and emotional being. The Bloomed Heart brooch is part of the series called “Tell me where it hearts/hurts the most” and depicts different shapes of the heart during a love relation ship: beats loudly when falling in love, leaps of joy, melts when sharing intimate moments but also can feel pain when being betrayed, or gets broken when rejected.
It is made of porcelain covered in transparent glaze and fired at the high temperature of 1250°C. A second firing of 800°C was made for applying the colloidal gold on the pieces. The pieces are assembled on a support of white artificial leather and the closing system is made of brass and steel.
