RALUCA BUZURA

Raluca Buzura was born in a northern province of Romania in 1984. She graduated the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2007. After completing a master degree in ceramics in 2009, her main focus becomes contemporary jewellery design.

Her interest in jewellery comes from the fact that this area has not been given much attention as frequently people use to see it only as an over plus brought to the human body, that has a value depending only on the material used. Therefore, it was a challenge to change viewer’s angle and to reveal an alternative: that jewellery can be considered a work of art in its own right, having an artistic understanding, concept and message that can cover a wide range of fields.
