Artist: Katerina Pimenidu

Originally trained in architecture, Katerina Pimenidu found her second passion in jewellery design. Born and raised in Greece but living and working in The Netherlands both as architect and jewellery designer she describe herself as being a multi passionate, creative, and neurodivergent person, that often struggles with choosing one single path in her creative career. For her, jewellery represents the most personal and intimate form of self-expression and beauty.

Her designs feature clean, architectural lines and diverse pearl placements. Most pieces are handcrafted in Greece by skilled goldsmith, Danai, with final touches and bespoke creations completed by her in The Netherlands. Katerina prioritizes sustainability and ethical practices, using recycled or Certified Fair-trade metals. Most of the pearls in her collection are sourced from farms dedicated to slow production. For instance, the Tahitian pearls come from an organic farm on Tahaa Island, while the keshis and baroques are sourced from a family-operated pearl farm on Manihiki Island. Every pearl is hand-selected by her and her certified pearl grader.

Katerina has won four design awards, including first place at the Young Designers' Corner in Munich, and has exhibited her work in various galleries around the world, such as Pistachios Gallery in Chicago and the Lalaounis Jewelry Museum in Athens.
