Fashion and jewellery are nothing but a communication tool. What you wear does tell a story. And stories have always been part of who we are as humans. Clothes and jewellery do have an impact on how we feel and carry ourselves through the day or through an occasion. They are setting our mood. They are closely related to identity and are kind of empowering us too. So, what do you wear?  What is your story?

So, what do you wear?

What is your story?

Some women prefer fine jewellery, thinking of metal first (gold, platinum, silver...) or gemstones (diamonds, rubies, sapphires…) and of objects that they hope will last a lifetime, if not longer. They want these jewellery pieces to be as relevant tomorrow as they are today. Fine jewellery is indeed a classical and a safe choice, which is wonderful too. Photo: Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Cartier

Other women prefer designers’ jewellery, setting as a priority the uniqueness of it. They make a choice of a conscious consumption that is not only about fine materials or gemstones, but also about an artistic concept, an inspiration or an idea that comes to life through a long and hard manual process. Such a choice pays off with its authenticity, timelessness and uniqueness — a design specific to art. Photo: Schiaparelli

But, of course, a lot of women choose casual  jewellery just to lift their mood, a sort of impulse buying that pleases their soul for a short period of time. A seasonal accessory that is a fashion hit of the moment, easy to wear and accessible to buy.

In  jewellery, like in fashion, we have choices. And each choice comes with a message about who we are and what we stand for.

At The Sense of Beauty, we are definitely guided by art, we offer a curated line-up of handcrafted  jewellery, selected to inspire emotions and celebrate individuality. The core idea is to exhibit wearable pieces crafted by artisans for people who love to wear and collect exceptional objects. We work with designers from all around the world, keeping the flow of a gallery always guided by a sense of beauty, rather than trends.

When I choose jewellery pieces, I have in mind the people that desire to make a statement with their everyday choices. For me, it is the creative act that matters, I want the jewellery to be recognised, understood, and finally worn. It’s not about what is in fashion right now. I am proposing pieces that are made to last, with no season boundaries, easy to wear and created ethically.”
— Diana Iordache, founder and curator of the gallery.
